Problem

Night-sky education in Guyana needed a public home, and outreach needed a site that could carry large image galleries without punishing load times.

Approach

I designed and shipped AstroPhotosGY as a public education site: gallery, Learn Hub, and a Sky Tonight dashboard. Performance work focused on lazy-loading and CDN delivery so image-heavy pages stay usable on typical local connections.

Outcomes

  • Public astronomy and STEM site used in Guyana outreach
  • 43 lessons, a nightly sky page for 65 places, and 29 tools
  • Featured in Stabroek Weekend
